Embark on the ultimate American whiskey experience in the heart of Kentucky with Bourbon Lore and Heaven Hill. From private dinners in the Evan Williams speakeasy, to exclusive and once-in-a-lifetime access to the Old Bernheim distillery, we’ve put together two full days of incredible whiskey and lore.
You’ll start your experience at a poolside tasting and Heaven Hill inspired cocktails by a top Kentucky mixologist. Then, you’ll have an opportunity to take a tintype portrait for you to take home. Enjoy dinner in a private Bourbon Lore experience at the Evan Williams visitor center. There, enjoy your first surprise pre-fire pour in the vintage library. Finish your night with a private speakeasy dinner by a James Beard Award Winning chef, as well as a private concert.
The next morning, go through a palate developing class to learn what you truly enjoy, and head off to a private tour and legends tasting at Old Bernheim to enjoy legendary pours, unreleased whiskey, special surprise gifts from Conor O’Driscoll - Heaven Hill’s Master Distiller, and an evening with Heaven Hill owner Max Shapira.
The highlight of this experience? If we could only choose one - it would be the unprecedented access to Old Bernheim. This will be the very first time guests have ever been allowed inside of the iconic property, making it a true once in a lifetime experience, and a true whiskey lover's dream.

Max Shapira
Executive Chairman, Heaven Hill Distilleries
The only son of Ed Shapira, one of the five brothers who founded Heaven Hill Distilleries following the repeal of Prohibition, Max was the longstanding President and now current Executive Chairman of Heaven Hill Distilleries. Max has been with Heaven Hill for 54 years and at the helm of the Bourbon Behemoth during a period of rapid growth and expansion and brand acquisitions which has made Heaven Hill the world’s largest tourable distillery.
Conor O’Driscoll
Master Distiller, Heaven Hill Distilleries
Formally a chemical engineer, Conor began his career in American Whiskey at Brown-Forman in 2004, and in the years that followed, he managed distillery operations for Brown-Forman Distillery, Woodford Reserve, and Angel’s Envy. When the Heaven Hill Distillery opportunity came calling, it was a natural fit, and Conor was appointed Master Distiller of Heaven Hill in January 2019.
Edward Lee
Celebrity Chef and Author
Edward Lee is the author of Bourbon Land, Smoke & Pickles and Buttermilk Graffiti; chef/owner of 610 Magnolia in Louisville, Kentucky; and culinary director of Succotash in National Harbor, Maryland, and Penn Quarter, Washington, DC. He appears frequently in print and on television, including earning an Emmy nomination for his role in the Emmy Award–winning series The Mind of a Chef. Most recently, he wrote and hosted the feature documentary Fermented.

An acclaimed country singer-songwriter from Nashville, Jimmy made a national name for himself with compelling original material and toured the country opening for Lady A, Montgomery Gentry, Kip Moore, Travis Tritt, Josh Turner, Merle Haggard and more. Recently, Jimmy won Nashville Industry Music Awards “Male Country Artist of the Year” and “Song of the Year” for “Never Had a Bad Day” and most recently “Male Entertainer of the Year” International Singer Songwriter Awards.
