Legendary Whiskey
Featured in Legends of American Whiskey
Bellows Pure Unblended Rye
Bottled as early as 1891, it may have been distilled as early as 1864, if not before. It was almost certainly transported to the Bellows office in downtown Manhattan by horse and carriage.
Maker’s Mark 101 Proof Green Wax
In the 1960s, Maker’s Mark released a small number of bottles at 101 proof sealed with green wax. They went almost entirely to foreign markets, specifically Italy.
Four Roses Mariage 2008
This bottle release heralded the return of a great distillery after its collapse in the late 1990s and has gained legendary status among drinkers and collectors.
American Cowboy 25-Year-Old
This was one of many whiskey names to come out of the partnership between Julian Van Winkle III and Marci Palatella. It was bottled at a mere 80 proof, aged in small barrels, and packaged with a burlap patch covering the closure and tied with a string.
